The UPONU team operates high-availability cloud stacks for you at several data center locations. We use these to provide our customers with comprehensive infrastructure services. You can configure and administer all services in self-service and with full control. At UPONU, we focus on a high degree of independence from individual hardware manufacturers and offer simple options for operating our customers' IT requirements. You can configure any server system and in addition, important services such as network backup and firewall. The services are billed according to usage and are easy to plan. We also ensure simple migration of existing on-premise or cloud systems.

In this way, we offer our customers the opportunity to use state-of-the-art technology without having to provide the necessary IT infrastructure internally. You determine the scope of use, and our pricing model is based on this. We would be happy to advise you so that we can find the best solution for you and make you a tailored offer.

Insight into the UPONU Self-Service Portal

1. Create Resource Pool

First, a resource pool is created for the initial scaling of the computing resources. This can be increased/decreased later if you need more/less performance. The decision is up to you.

2. Create Data Storage Pool

A data storage pool is then created to determine the required storage. This pool can also be enlarged/reduced later.

3. Create VM - Type -

Already now a VM can be created. The first step is to select in which way the VM should be created. In our example we concentrate on the creation of a VM from a template. However, you can also choose from the options "Create New" and "Clone.

4. Create VM - Select Template -.

We choose a template designed for your needs.

5. Create VM - Basic Settings -

Next, other basic settings of your VM are made. These includes the specification with a name for display in the portal and assigning the created pools from the previous slides.

6. Create VM - Management Settings -

In the administration settings, the backup flag is used to define, whether backups should be created automatically at regular intervals.

7. Create VM - Select Network -

The VM can be integrated into a previously created network.

8. Create VM - Datastore Settings -

The datastore pool settings define how much datastore should be available to the VM from the datastore pool.

9. Create VM - Resources Settings -

The resource pool settings determine how much of the resource capacity should be available to the VM from the resource pool.

10. Create VM - Comparison -

The last step displays the remaining resources available from the datastore and resource pools after creation. Saving completes the creation and creates the VM.

11. VM Overview

The VM is now visible in the portal and can be switched on immediately.

12. Use VM

Clicking Console displays the user interface of the VM in a pop-up browser window.
